Indiana will offer 125 days of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing in 2012 under schedules recently released by Hoosier Park Racing & Casino and Indiana Downs.
Indiana Downs has scheduled 61 days of live racing from April 16-July 11, racing primarily Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 4:55 p.m. EDT and Fridays and Saturdays at 6:55 p.m.
Hoosier Park will offer 64 days of racing from Aug. 1-Oct. 27. Racing will be held Tuesdays through Fridays at 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 12:30 p.m.
The Indiana Derby and Indiana Oaks (both gr. II) are scheduled for the afternoon of Oct. 6.
Both tracks, which have slot machines, also offer Standardbred meets. Hoosier Park will offer 80 days of harness racing from March 27-July 14, while Indiana Downs will hold 80 days of harness action from July 24-Nov. 7.
