Stakes-Placed Rubiyat to David Spears Racing

Multiple grade II stakes runner by Rubiano has progeny earnings of $1 million-plus.

Multiple grade II stakes-placed Rubiyat has been moved for stallion duty this year to David Spears Racing near Hartshorne, Okla., where he will stand for $1,000, with special consideration to approved mares. He formerly stood at Fox Tale Stud near Coopersburg, Pa.

A 17-year-olds son of Rubiano, Rubiyat has sired the earners of more than $1 million including multiple stakes-placed Rubi Echo, stakes-placed Khayyam, and $236,113-earner One Tough Dude.

Rubiyat, who finished second to Grand Slam in the Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont Park, finished first or second in all six of his starts. His dam, Blushing Madame (by Blushing Groom), is a half sister to graded stakes winners Boston Party and Man’s Hero.

The deal was brokered by New Jersey bloodstock agent Michael Slezak.
