Night School to Preview Dubai Super Saturday

National online fan education program will look at races at Meydan.

“Night School,” the racing industry’s national online fan education program, has added a series of race and track-specific teaching events throughout the year. The first such “Big Event” seminar takes place March 8, with an inside look at the Dubai Super Saturday card from Meydan Racecourse featuring seven stakes that are preps for the $27 million Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) program.

The free-to-attend, no-registration required “Big Event” begins at 8:30 p.m. ET and lasts one hour. It will be available for free archive viewings immediately afterward.

Night School “Big Event” seminars are available at any of the 40 industry and racetrack websites that are part of the Night School fan education syndicate, so you can watch the Dubai Super Saturday Seminar and take part in the live chat from any of your favorite Night School sites.

Sponsored by AmWest Entertainment, the Dubai Super Saturday Preview can be viewed at the AmWest website. AmWest also provides free, full-card past performances for all Super Saturday races, available at this link. PPs also will be available within the Night School “Big Event” chat via text links, and will be sent out to the Night School free email list of students. To join the Night School E-mail list, simply go to and input your e-mail address at the top right corner of the site’s homepage.

Thursday’s “Big Event” will be hosted by Night School’s Jeremy Plonk, national stakes handicapper for Horse Player NOW, alongside Marcus Hersh, Daily Racing Form international correspondent; Dick Powell, a handicapper and oddsmaker for AmWest Entertainment who sets the official morning line for the North and South American simulcasts of Dubai racing; and Pat Cummings of Trakus, who will be sharing unique data from racing at Meydan. The panel of experts will look at each of the major Super Saturday stakes, provide prep race video and insights, and offer some tips on what to look for in the action from Dubai. Fans can pose their questions and comments to the hosts throughout the program.

Upcoming “Big Event” seminars include a March 29, doubleheader that will look at the Florida Derby (gr. I) at 8:30 p.m. ET and Dubai World Cup (9:30 p.m. ET) programs. AmWest Entertainment, the exclusive provider of Dubai racing throughout the Americas, again will sponsor the World Cup seminar.
