TVG Plans Charles Town Classic Coverage

The racing network will have a team on site for the $1 million race April 14.

TVG will provide live on-site coverage of the April 14 Charles Town Classic (gr. II) program at  Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, officials said March 14.

The $1 million Classic tops a six-stakes program that begins at 5 p.m. EDT at the West Virginia racetrack.

“TVG has been an asset as a partner broadcasting our cards during the week, and we’re excited to have them on track for the event,” Charles Town director of racing operations Erich Zimny said.

The stakes that night, including the $250,000 Robert Hilton Memorial and $200,000 Sugar Maple, will be worth $1.6 million.

Zimny said Charles Town will offer a $50,000 guaranteed late pick four that concludes with the Classic. Post time for the Charles Town Classic is currently slated for 10:30 p.m.
