Stakes Winner Rising Moon to Jamaica

Stakes-winning son of Runaway Groom placed in the grade I Suburban.

Rising Moon, a multiple stakes winner by Runaway Groom, has been purchased for stallion duty by Christopher Wellington to stand at Bombay Stud Farm in Jamaica, according to Schumer Bloodstock.

Nine-year-old Rising Moon won the Wagon Limit Stakes and the Mr. Right Stakes and placed in three graded stakes including the 2008 Suburban Handicap (gr. I). He was retired with a record of 5-1-3 from 15 starts and earnings of $304,624.

Rising Moon is out of the graded stakes-placed Nijinsky II mare Beat, a half sister to major winner/producer Too Chic.
