Steve Davison and Jake Haddad have purchased Len Ragozin’s The Sheets, a New York-based publishing company. Davison is an owner and breeder, and Haddad is a longtime The Sheets employee. The Sheets has produced Thoroughbred speed figures for a period spanning five decades.
Davison said the company would continue conducting business as usual for the foreseeable future. He mentioned the possibility of an expanded product line and earlier downloads capability as a couple of strategic implementations to the popular handicapping tool that is used by horse players and horsemen around the world.
“I am excited to get involved at an ownership level with what I consider to be the premier speed figure producers in the Thoroughbred industry,” said Davison. “We will continue to draw upon the five decades of experience from our capable office staff to uphold the longstanding integrity of the product, while looking to advance and modernize the way it's distributed.”
Davison, 44, has been a longtime Thoroughbred owner and breeder, most notably as the majority owner of Twin Creeks Racing Stables LLC.
Haddad, 53, is a New York native who attended Queens College and Bernard Baruch Business School before joining The Sheets more than 30 years ago. Haddad will continue in his daily capacity as office manager of the company.
