Three Work at Churchill in Advance of Oaks

Sacristy, Oaks Lily, and Yara were on the April 27 work tab at the Kentucky track.

A trio of 3-year-old fillies worked at Churchill Downs April 27 in advance of the May 4 Kentucky Oaks (gr. I).

Peachtree Stables’ Sacristy, a late Oaks candidate, worked seven furlongs on a fast track in 1:29 after splits of :26 2/5, :51 2/5; and 1:16 2/5. The Pulpit filly, second in the April 15 Beaumont Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland, galloped out one mile in 1:45 3/5.

Sacristy was one of two horses to work seven-eighths of a mile at Churchill. The other was On Fire Baby, who breezed two seconds faster.

Jonathan Rey, Javier Sarmiento, and Dante Zanelli Jr.’s Oaks Lily, a Keeneland maiden winner with no graded earnings, worked a half-mile in :49 2/5 after a quarter-mile in :25. The Badge of Silver filly galloped out six furlongs in 1:17 2/5.

Peras International’s Yara, winner of the grade II Davona Dale Stakes at Gulfstream Park earlier this year, worked four furlongs in :51. The Put It Back filly won the Davona Dale at 64-1 and last time finished fifth in the Gulfstream Park Oaks (gr. II).
