Microsoft Windows Phone to Sponsor Hansen

Windows Phone logo will be worn by Hansen's rider, Ramon Domginguez, in Derby.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone will sponsor the juvenile champion Hansen in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) May 5 at Churchill Downs. The Windows phone logo will be displayed on jockey Ramon Dominguez’ pants.

Dr. Kendall Hansen announced the sponsorship deal May 3.

“Like Windows Phone, Hansen is a beautifully different horse that stands out from the competition,” said KC Lemson, a director of the Windows Phone team at Microsoft. “We are honored to support Hansen in the Kentucky Derby.”
Windows Phone is also launching a Twitter contest May 3 and giving away two (white, like Hansen) Lumia 900 phones. Entrants should follow @WindowsPhone, then send a tweet using the hashtag #TrifectaTweet with the horses that will win, place, and show in the Derby.
Said Dr. Hansen in a release, “I felt I had a winner with Hansen from the first, and having Windows Phone sponsor him for this race is the perfect cap to this perfect run. I think fans will be excited to see Windows Phone associated with the horse.”
In November, Hansen won the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I) at Churchill Downs en route to being named 2-year-old champion male. He has since won the Gotham Stakes (gr. III) at Aqueduct Racetrack, and drew post 14 for the Derby.
