Overbrook Farm's Surfside is likely to return to the races in the $70,000-added Raven Run Stakes Wednesday at Keeneland, according to assistant trainer Mike Maker. The 3-year-old filly has been on the sidelines since a fifth-place finish against males in the Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) in April.

In preparation for the race, Surfside breezed five furlongs in 1:01 2/5 Thursday at Churchill Downs.

"She did everything so nice and easily," said Maker of the work. "We're really looking forward to getting her back to the races and we're expecting to run her in the Raven Run."

Also expected for the Raven Run, a seven-furlong test for 3-year-old fillies, are Darling My Darling, Roxelana, Lorie Darlin, Cat Cay, and Sumthintotalkabout.

Surfside has won seven of 10 starts and has career earnings of $1,060,230.
