Fasig-Tipton has 18% increase in horses cataloged from last year for Aug. 6-7 sale.

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 189 yearlings for its 92nd Saratoga sale to be held Aug. 6-7 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The 2012 numbers represent an increase of 18% from last year's catalog.

"The solid returns from 2011 have been rewarded by significantly increased numbers and quality to Saratoga from our traditional client base and from new sellers at the Spa," Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning said in a release."The Saratoga sale is moving on a very positive course right now. This year's catalog features an outstanding group of yearlings with depth of pedigree, by a wide variety of the world's leading sires."

The Saratoga yearling sale is ranked number one among North American yearling auctions by percentage of grade I stakes winners and stakes winners. Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Union Rags  was a graduate of the 2010 Saratoga yearling auction.

Sessions will begin each day at 7 p.m. EDT in the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion. The catalog is now accessible online at www.fasigtipton.com.

Print catalogs will be available at all Fasig-Tipton offices by July 2.
