Horse Racing Show on CNN's Spanish Channel

Program will air on fourth Saturday of each month.

"Al Galope," a new monthly program on horse racing, is scheduled to make its debut at 9 p.m. June 30 on CNN en Espanol. The show, which will air on the fourth Saturday of each month, will be hosted by jockey Francesca Dumani and Deportes CNN anchor Elizabeth Perez.

The June 30 program will feature the Prix de Diane (Fr-I, French Oaks) and the Royal Ascot meet.

According to a release, CNN en Espanol is the first 24-hour television network of CNN independently produced in a language other than English. Launched March 17, 1997, the network provides continuous news coverage of news that is most relevant to the region and the world, with context and in-depth analysis, and shows that go in-depth to cover topics like economy, finances, health, technology and entertainment. The network has a subscriber base up to 29 million households and hotel rooms in Latin America and 7 million households in the United States.

"In each show, 'Al Galope' will show what happens inside of the racetrack with stories of the greatest trainers, jockeys, horse owners and their business," the release said. "'Al Galope' is a behind-the-scenes look into the world of horse racing, from the exquisite purebred to the training logistics, diet, and transportation of these great athletes throughout the world. Each show will go in depth in order to focus on what happens inside of the racetracks with the great masters, the trainers and the most important jockeys in the industry."

The inaugural program will re-air July 1, at 3:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 11:30 pm (ET); July 5, at 12:30 a.m. (ET); July 6, at 1:30 p.m. (ET); and July 7, at 8:30 a.m. (ET).
