Conor Foley of Darley America has announced he will leave the operation to open Oracle Bloodstock, a full-service agency whose product mix will include stallion acquisitions, yearling selection, private bloodstock acquisitions and valuations, mating consultations, and market analysis.
"My tenure here at Darley has positioned me especially well to make what I feel is a very measured and exciting next step in my professional career," said Foley in a release. "Darley has been extremely supportive of this move, and I look forward to helping many others reach their goals in our industry."
Olly Tait, chief operating officer of Darley's worldwide operation said, "Conor has displayed unique abilities on a variety of fronts while here at Darley and I have no doubt that he will be successful in this new venture. His talents will be sorely missed."
Foley began working with horses during his teens when he also worked for Equibase analyzing data. Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky, he accepted a position as the stakes coordinator for the Breeders' Cup.
After four years there, he was awarded a place in the Darley Flying Start program and was hired by Darley after completing the two-year international management training program. Foley has been with Darley's American operation for more than five years. While at Darley, Foley also completed his masters in business administration.
