Hit It Rich Favorite of Six in Glens Falls

Older fillies and mares go 1 3/8 miles on the turf Sept. 3 at Saratoga.

Stuart S. Janney III's Hit It Rich is the 7-5 morning-line favorite over five other fillies and mares in the $150,000 Glens Falls Stakes (gr. IIIT) on Sept. 3, closing day at Saratoga Race Course.

The 1 3/8-mile Glens Falls, an inner turf affair for older fillies and mares, is race eight on an 11-race card, with an approximate post of 4:18 p.m. EDT. It is immediately followed by the $300,000 Three Chimneys Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) for juveniles.
No worse than third in eight of her last nine starts for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey, the stakes-winning Hit It Rich ran third in the June 30 New York Stakes (gr. IIT) at Belmont Park last time out and was second to Aruna in the May 26 Sheepshead Bay (gr. IIIT). Her last win was March 31 in the Orchid Stakes (gr. IIIT). A 5-year-old daughter of Smart Strike, she will carry 120 pounds, including Javier Castellano, as she leaves from the rail.
Kissable, a four-length winner of the Aug. 6 Richmor Aviation Waya Stakes over a yielding 1 1/2-mile course in her second stateside start for Three Chimneys Racing and Trevor Harris, drew 5 as the 9-5 second choice on the morning line. John Velazquez will ride the 4-year-old Danehill Dancer filly for Hall of Fame trainer Roger Attfield, who also will send out Charles Fipke's homebred Thislilsoulofmine, a 5-year-old daughter of Perfect Soul  who won an optional claiming winner last time out at Woodbine.
Also entered were grade III winner Bizzy Caroline and Brazilian-bred Bubbly Jane, third and fourth, respectively, in the Waya. Bizzy Caroline, a 4-year-old Afleet Alex  filly owned by Catesby Clay, seeks her first win since a June 2 triumph by a neck in the 1 1/16-mile Early Times Mint Julep Handicap (gr. IIIT) for trainer Ken McPeek. Bubbly Jane, a 7-year-old by Yagli, was second by three in the Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Delaware Park July 14 going the Glens Falls distance. Todd Pletcher trains.
Bizzy Caroline carries 118 from post 2 under Jose Lezcano at 6-1; Bubbly Jane gets the services of Rosie Napravnik from post 6 at odds of 8-1.
The Bill Mott-trained Imperial Pippin, a 4-year-old Empire Maker  filly most recently fifth in an optional claimer at Saratoga for Juddmonte Farms, completes the field. Acting Happy and Cash for Clunkers will run only if the race comes off the turf.
