254 Cataloged for FT Saratoga Mixed Sale

Majority of 104 weanlings cataloged qualify for registration as New York-breds.

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 254 head for its Fall Mixed Sale in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Tuesday, Oct. 9. There are 104 weanlings to be offered, the vast majority of which are qualified for registration as New York-breds, as well as 44 horses of racing age and/or broodmare prospects, and 103 in-foal mares. The sale in the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion begins at 11 a.m. (ET).

"The feedback we were getting through the early summer was that the significant funding strides made to the New York-bred program had created a need for this sale," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning in a release. "After discussions with New York’s major commercial breeders and with Jeff Cannizzo, executive director of New York Thoroughbred Breeders, we found an ideal time slot in October to add this sale to the calendar."

Catalogs can be accessed now online and the print versions will be available from all Fasig-Tipton offices, and from the New York Thoroughbred Breeders offices in Saratoga by Sept. 5.

The sale will be streamed live at: bloodhorse.com/ftnyfall.
