Grade II Winner Ventana to Indiana

Won two graded stakes including the grade II Potrero Grande Handicap.

Grade II winner Ventana will stand the 2013 breeding season at Indiana Stallion Station near Anderson, Ind. His fee will be $2,500. Mike Pegram, who raced Ventana in partnership, remains a part owner.

A 6-year-old son of Toccet, Ventana won the Potrero Grande Handicap (gr. II) and the Maryland Sprint Handicap (gr. III) and placed in five stakes, four of which were graded. He was retired with a record of 4-4-4 from 21 starts and earnings of $383,106.

A half brother to stakes winner Miss Challenge, Ventana is out of the winning Polish Numbers mare Full Figure, a half sister to stakes winners Harriman and Dixie Accent. Champion Lord Avie and grade I winner Stephen Got Even appear under Ventana's third dam, Avie.

Ventana stood last breeding season at Gayle Gerth's Dana Point Farm near Lenhartsville, Pa.
