Maimonides to Stand at Vinery in Kentucky

$4.6-million yearling won first start by 11 1/2 lengths and placed in the Hopeful.

With the closing of the stallion division at Vinery, Ltd-Florida, Maimonides  will relocate to Vinery, Ltd-Kentucky near Lexington for the 2013 breeding season. A fee will be announced later.

A $4.6 million Keeneland September yearling, Maimonides had a brief but solid career. In his two starts, he won a Saratoga maiden special by 11 1/2 lengths and then placed in the Hopeful Stakes (gr. I). By Vindication out of the Silver Deputy mare Silvery Swan, Maimonides is a half brother to grade I winners and successful sires El Corredor and Roman Ruler.

"Maimonides is an outstanding looking individual from a sire family, and his first foals, which will race next year, certainly look the part," said Vinery president Tom Ludt.
