Live Racing Canceled at Aqueduct for Nov. 7

Forecast calls for rain, temperatures in mid-to-upper 30s, and strong winds.

Due to a forecast of rain and strong winds, the New York Racing Association has canceled live racing at Aqueduct  for Wednesday, Nov. 7. Simulcasting will still be conducted.

The New York City forecast for Nov. 7 calls for morning showers evolving to a soaking rain in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain in the mid- to upper 30s, with winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts to 50 miles per hour.

The NYRA announcement did not say whether live racing will resume Nov. 8, when the forecast is for rain and snow showers in the morning and some showers in the afternoon. The high temperature is projected to be 41 degrees, with 25- to 35-mile-per-hour winds.
