Tracks Cancel Live Racing for Dec. 29

Aqueduct, Penn National, and Charles Town canceled because of weather conditions.

Live racing at Aqueduct Racetrack, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, and Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races was canceled for Dec. 29 due to a storm expected to bring snow and rain to New York and the Mid-Atlantic region.

The New York Racing Association said Aqueduct and the Belmont Café will remain open for simulcasting and Telebet and Internet wagering will be available through NYRA Rewards. Live racing at Aqueduct is scheduled to resume Dec. 30.

Penn National in Pennsylvania lost what would have been its final program of 2012. Live racing is scheduled to resume Jan. 3. The track will race three nights a week (Thursday through Saturday) through early March.

Charles Town in West Virginia lost part of its Dec. 28 card and the Dec. 29 program. Live racing returns Jan. 2.

Penn National and Charles Town remain open for full-card simulcasts.
