First Foals by Uncle Mo and Cape Blanco

Uncle Mo's first offspring is out of the Unbridled's Song mare Erica's Melody.

The first reported foal by Eclipse Award winner Uncle Mo  is a filly born Jan. 4 at Greg and Steve Justice's Justice Farm near Lexington. The newborn is out of the Unbridled's Song mare Erica's Melody.

Greg Justice described the filly as being "a very nice, correct filly with plenty of leg and quality. She is of good size and was just what I was hoping for."

Erica's Melody will be bred back to Stay Thirsty .

Cape Blanco's first reported offspring is a filly out of Sigatoo, who is by North American and Irish champion Black Minnaloushe. The newborn was foaled Jan. 8 at Jim and Pam Robinson's Brandywine Farm near Paris, Ky.

Pam Robinson described the foal as being "a fantastic filly. She is knockout gorgeous and a well-balanced, strong little athlete. I will be breeding back to Cape Blanco."

Uncle Mo (Indian CharliePlaya Maya, by Arch) and Cape Blanco (GalileoLaurel Delight, by Presidium) stand at John Magnier and partners' Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky. Uncle Mo stands for $35,000, and Cape Blanco's fee is $17,500.
