K One King to Margaux Farm

Grade I-winning son of Apalachee represents Round Table branch of Princequillo line

Grade I winner K One King  has been relocated from Louisiana to Kentucky for the 2013 breeding season.

The 2000 Oaklawn Handicap (gr. I) winner has been purchased by Gunpowder Farms and will stand at Margaux Farm near Midway, Ky., for $3,500 live foal.

K One King is a son of European champion 2-year-old Apalachee, a son of Round Table. According to Margaux Farm, K One King is believed to be the only grade I-winning representative of Round Table’s branch of the Princequillo line now standing in North America.

In returning him to Kentucky, Gunpowder Farms hopes to provide a greater opportunity to infuse the Princequillo line into modern racing stock.

K One King has sired four stakes winners including Broadway King, Misty Michelle, and One Pretty Penny. His son King of Jazz finished second in the 2005 Queen's Plate at Woodbine Race Course.
