BC Winner Court Vision Sires First Foal

Court Vision won the grade I Breeders' Cup Mile in his farewell race.

Five-time grade I winner Court Vision  had his first reported foal arrive when a filly was born Jan. 20 at Hill 'n' Dale Farm near Aurora, Ontario, Canada.

Bred by Knob Hill Stable, the filly is out of the San Romano mare Panteccaria and is a half sister to $386,114 earner Nicki Knew, a winner of one leg of the Canadian Triple Tiara at Woodbine.

"She's a big, lovely, correct filly with a ton of bone. She was 127 pounds at birth, and just beautiful," said Glenn Sikura of Hill 'n' Dale Canada. "I've been doing this on a full-time basis for over 30 years, and I don't get easily excited. But this is what a foal is supposed to look like."

Court Vision (GulchWeekend Storm, by Storm Bird) scored his major win in the 2011 TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT). He stands at Park Stud near Orangeville, Ontario, as the property of Spendthrift Farm Canada, and is a participant in Spendthrift's "Share The Upside" program. His 2013 fee is $10,000 stands and nurses.
