Action This Day, champion 2-year-old male of 2003, has been sold to stand at Haras Los Azahares in Peru.

A 12-year-old son of Kris S. out of the multiple graded stakes-placed-winning Trempolino mare Najecam, Action This Day will leave for Peru after standing the 2013 Northern Hemisphere season at Joyce Baker's Indiana Stallion Station near Anderson, Ind. The stallion will be in Indiana through June 5.

Sire of Peruvian champion Cracovia and multiple stakes winner Sky Embassy, Action This Day has sired 121 winners from 203 starters, including eight Northern Hemisphere stakes placers and the earners of more than $5.1 million through Jan. 19.

Trained by Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella, Action This Day won the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) during his championship season and earned $822,484 in his career.

The former Central Kentucky stallion began his career at stud at Castleton Lyons and stood two breeding seasons at B. Wayne Hughes' Spendthrift Farm near Lexington. He previously stood in 2010 at Dana Point Farm in Pennsylvania.

Haras Los Azahares formerly shuttled Central Kentucky stallion Badge of Silver for the 2012 Southern Hemisphere breeding season.
