Aqueduct Cancels Live Racing for Jan. 24

Forecast calls for temperatures in the upper teens and 15 to 20 miles per hour winds.

Citing extreme cold temperatures, the New York Racing Association has canceled racing at Aqueduct Racetrack for Thursday, Jan. 24.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with temperatures steady near the upper teens and winds ranging from 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Simulcasting will continue at Aqueduct and Belmont Park, with Telebet and internet wagering also still available.

Racing is scheduled to resume Jan. 25.
