A seminar called "Flair Nasal Strips: The Clinically Proven Alternative to Lasix" will be held at Keeneland April 9.

The event, which begins at 1:30 p.m. (EDT), is being conducted by Flair Nasal Strips, in cooperation with the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.

According to a release, the seminar will feature Dr. Jim Chiapetta, the Flair Nasal Strips co-inventor and president. He will be joined by expert speakers from the Thoroughbred racing industry to discuss EIPH/bleeding, lung stress, and airway resistance topics targeted specifically to trainers, breeders, owners, racing officials, and regulatory and association veterinarians.

"Flair Nasal Strips provide horsemen an opportunity to maximize protection for their horses' lungs," Chiapetta said in the release, adding that his company's product has been shown to be effective in reducing exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage, or bleeding, in horses during intensive exercise.
