Hamazing Destiny, a grade III winner and a Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) runner-up, has been retired from racing for stallion duty at Westrock Stables near Little Rock, Ark.
He raced for Joe and Scott Ford's Westrock and Barry Butzow and will stand for those two parties for a private fee. He was bred in Kentucky by Destinaire Farm.
By Salt Lake, 7-year-old Hamazing Destiny is out of the unraced Artax mare Ms Proud Destiny, who is a half sister to stakes winner Devilish Erica and to the dams of graded winner Glitter Rox and stakes winner Forty Thieves.
Specializing in sprinting, Hamazing Destiny carved out a record of 5-7-5 from 33 starts and earnings of $853,008. He won the Maryland Sprint Handicap (gr. III) and placed in seven stakes. He contested three runnings of the Breeders' Cup Sprint, finishing second in the 2010 running to subsequent champion sprint male Big Drama when the race was sponsored by Sentient Jet.
Hamazing Destiny's other stakes performances included second-place finishes in the Forego Stakes (gr. I) and the James Marvin Stakes, both at Saratoga. He was third in the Count Fleet Handicap (gr. III) and the Stoll Kennon Ogden Phoenix Stakes (gr. III).
