The public is invited to hear some of the biggest names in racing take the stage April 19 at the Fasig-Tipton sales pavilion in Lexington to share their fondest Kentucky Derby-winning memories.
Trainers Todd Pletcher, Jack Van Berg, and Michael Matz, along with Hall of Fame jockeys Gary Stevens and Edgar Prado will be part of the festivities. Hall of Fame trainer and four-time Kentucky Derby winner D. Wayne Lukas will host this event, which is called "It's My Derby" and benefits the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs.
The racing celebrities have combined for eight victories in America's most famous race.
As part of the evening there will be a live auction with one-on-one Derby week packages for each racing celebrity, along with bourbon tastings, personalities, and some of the best stories in racing.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. (EDT) and the event begins at 6 p.m. All ticket holders will be entered into a door prize drawing of a Four Roses Bourbon bottle signed by all attending Derby winners. Four Roses VIP reception tickets are $150 apiece and include open bar, appetizers, bourbon tastings, the opportunity to mingle with the Derby winners before the event, and reserved row seating in the pavilion.
