Dominated Euthanized Due to Old Age

New York sire was bred similarly to Affirmed by Harbor View Farm.

Pensioned New York sire Dominated was euthanized April 18 due to the infirmities of old age. The 32-year-old son of Exclusive Native was bred similarly to Triple Crown winner Affirmed as he was out of the Crafty Admiral daughter Quick-n-Crafty. Affirmed was out of the Crafty Admiral daugther Won't Tell You.

Dominated was bred and raced by Louis and Patrice Wolfson's Harbor View Farm. He raced 41 times from ages 2 through 5 and earned nearly $132,500.

His entire stud career was spent in New York, first at the late Dr. Wallace Karutz's Bourbon Hills and then at Al Martin's Tomorrow Bloodstock in Thompson Ridge, N.Y., where he has been a pensioner for the past six years.

Dominated's top runners were stakes winner Can't Slow Down, winner of the Whirlaway Breeders' Cup Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack, and stakes-placed Dominating Dottiet, who finished third in the Suncoast Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs. Both runners had been bred by Karutz.
