Gomez Signs Two-Year Endorsement with Fuse

The agreement with leading jockey is the company's first in Thoroughbred racing.

Garrett Gomez will be sporting a new brand this weekend as the top Southern California rider has signed a new sponsorship deal with Fuse Science.

The two-year endorsement agreement is the health and nutrition products company's first with Thoroughbred racing. Based in Miami Lakes, Fla., Fuse Science has endorsements with pro golfer Tiger Woods, Major League Baseball players David Ortiz and Jose Bautista, NBA players Tyson Chandler and Paul Pierce, and Houston Texans running back Arian Foster.

"Garrett Gomez represents a whole new sport and fan base for Fuse Science," said Rubin Hanan, president and chief operating officer of Fuse Science. "Garrett will wear Powered By Fuse riding gear throughout all of his races over the next two years and will be a great ambassador for our products and technology. We are looking forward to being part of this incredible sport with a highly respected jockey like Garrett. Fuse Science will now be represented on some of the biggest stages in horse racing."

The jockey, who was wearing a Fuse shirt during the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) post position draw May 1, will also wear branded pants, boots, and mock turtlenecks during his races this weekend. Gomez has five mounts May 3 and five May 4, including Beholder in the Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) and Vyjack in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I).

Gomez said he was attracted to the deal because he's used the products.
