Kreiser Saddles 1,000th Career Winner

Kreiser won 2009 Pennsylvania Governor's Cup Handicap with Cardashi.

Mid-Atlantic-based trainer Timothy Kreiser picked up the 1,000th victory of his career Sunday, May 12 when he saddled Tiempo Libre to victory in the fifth race at Parx Racing.

With Kendrick Carmouche in the irons, Tiempo Libre took command in the turn and drew off to a 9 3/4-length victory in the six-furlong starter-allowance race for 3-year-olds and up. Joseph Besecker's Tiempo Libre has won four of five starts this year and has earned $55,200.

Some of the top horses for Kreiser, who boasts a 22% win rate in 20 years of training, include multiple stakes winner Aye Bobby, two-time stakes winner Peppi Knows, and Cardashi, who won the $200,000 Pennsylvania Governor's Cup Handicap in 2009 at Penn National Race Course.
