Orb 3-5 Choice After Several Hours of Betting

Mylute and Goldencents draw some attention at 6-1 and 8-1, respectively.

Orb  was the 3-5 favorite in very early wagering on the May 18 Preakness Stakes (gr. I), according to the Maryland Jockey Club.

The Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner is even money on the morning line for the second jewel of America's Triple Crown. Advance wagering began when the betting windows opened May 17.

Next in line was Mylute at 6-1, followed by Goldencents  (8-1), Itsmyluckyday  (10-1), Govenor Charlie (12-1), Departing (14-1), Will Take Charge  (15-1), Oxbow  (18-1), and Titletown Five (24-1).

The odds reflect about three hours of wagering.

Meanwhile, the latest forecast at weather.com is calling for a 50% chance of showers and a high of 72 degrees for Preakness Stakes day in Baltimore. An earlier forecast predicted a high near 80 degrees under most sunny skies.
