Prince of the Roxy registered a clear victory in a maiden claiming race June 16 at Lone Star Park to become the first winner for freshman sire King of the Roxy (VIDEO).

Prince of the Roxy was making his career debut and is the first starter for King of the Roxy.

A grade II winner at ages 2 and 3, King of the Roxy stands for $1,000 at Poplar Creek Horse Center in Bethel, Ohio. A 9-year-old son of Littleexpectations, King of the Roxy finished second in the 2007 Santa Anita Derby (gr. I).

Bred in New Mexico by Major Allen Howard, Prince of the Roxy is owned and trained by Bret Calhoun. Prince of the Roxy is out of the Devil Diamond mare Josie's Diamond.
