Mary Emily Marshall Taylor Dies at 85

Taylor's four sons run the family-owned Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky.

Mary Emily Marshall Taylor, 85, the wife of Taylor Made Farm founder Joe Taylor and the mother of Duncan, Ben, Frank, and Mark, who now run the family business, died July 13.

She will be remembered for her selfless nature and love and devotion to her faith and family.

Born Dec. 24, 1927, in Frankfort, Ky., she was the daughter of Llewelyn and Lucille Marshall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; sons Danny and Chris Taylor; her parents; brother L.B. Marshall; sister Margaret Sullivan; and son-in-law John W. Quinn.

She was a devoted parishioner of the Cathedral of Christ the King for more than 60 years, and was an adorer at the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at St. Luke's Parish in Nicholasville, Ky., as well as Christ the King in Lexington for more than 20 years.

She is also survived by two daughters, Mary Joe Quinn and Emily Taylor; her four sons; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at The Cathedral of Christ the King, 299 Colony Blvd., Lexington, at 10 a.m. EDT July 16, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers she requested donations be made to the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Maintenance Fund, 299 Colony Blvd. Lexington, KY 40502.
