Currently campaigning a pair of graded stakes winners by the late sire Pulpit, Gary and Mary West landed a yearling from his second-last crop Monday, July 15 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July yearling sale.
The Wests' buyer Ben Glass, noted that the Wests have enjoyed previous success with horses by Pulpit, including this year's Strub Stakes (gr. II) winner Guilt Trip and last year's Frontrunner Stakes (gr. I) winner Power Broker, who recently registered a victory in the Easy Goer Stakes at Belmont Park.
"We loved everything about her," Glass said. "She will go to Jeff and Carolyn Kirk to a training center in Ocala, Florida in September."
Consigned by Mill Ridge Sales, the filly is out of the unraced Unbridled filly Referendum, who has had two foals to race.
Referendum is out of the Valid Appeal mare Miss Bold Appeal, who also has produced multiple grade I winner Jersey Girl (Belong to Me) and grade III winner St. Petersburg (Nureyev). Jersey Girl is the dam of grade I winner Jersey Town . Miss Bold Appeal is a full sister to grade II winner Valid Wager.
The filly was bred in Kentucky by Lynn B. Schiff.
