Mr. Nightlinger   was represented by his first winner Aug. 23 as E Z Glider posted her first victory in the first race, a maiden claiming event at Louisiana's Evangeline Downs (VIDEO).
The 2-year-old filly, ridden by Carlos Lozada, chased the early pace two wide, before drawing off in mid-stretch and besting 11 rivals by 2 3/4 lengths. Her final time for the five-furlong dirt sprint was 1:00.53.
E Z Glider was bred by the Cantrell Family Partnership in Louisiana. Trained by Carl Deville for The Five Horsemen, the dark bay filly is out of the El Prado mare Adayinspain.
Mr. Nightlinger was bred in Kentucky by Brereton C. Jones. A multiple stakes winner in his three-year career, the bay horse captured the Shakertown Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Keeneland and the Aegon Turf Sprint Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Churchill Downs. He retired with a record of 10-3-5 from 25 starts and earnings of $644,355.
A 9-year-old son of Indian Charlie, Mr. Nightlinger is out of  Timely Quarrel, a daughter of  Time for a Change.
Mr. Nightlinger stands at JEH Stallion Station's Oklahoma Division near Wynnewood, Okla. His fee for the 2013 breeding season was $1,500.
