Bind to Stand in Louisiana in 2014

The 5-year-old son of Pulpit to stand at Jay Adcock's Red River Farm near Coushatta.

Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider's Bind, a 5-year-old son of Pulpit, will enter stud in 2014 at Jay Adcock's Red River Farm near Coushatta, La. He will stand for $1,500 as property of Claiborne, Dilschneider, and Nathan Granger.

A winner at 3, 4, and 5, Bind finished on the board in six of his eight career starts for trainer Al Stall, Jr. In addition to his three six-furlong wins at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, Bind placed third in the March 2 Sam Houston Sprint Cup Stakes and finished fourth in the April 3 Commonwealth Stakes (gr. III) at Keeneland. He retires with earnings of $108,335 and a record of 3-2-1.

Bind was bred in Kentucky by Claiborne and is out of Check, by Unbridled. Bred on the same cross as Tapit , Bind is a half brother to Hakama, who placed in the 2012 Illinois Derby (gr. III).
