Lone Star Special Moved to California

The freshman sire by Malabar Gold will stand at Special T Thoroughbreds in 2014.

Freshman sire and stakes winner Lone Star Special, a homebred raced by Tigertail Ranch, has been relocated from Louisiana to California and will stand the 2014 breeding season at Special T Thoroughbreds in Temecula.

The 8-year-old son of Malabar GoldSunshine Special, by Tactical Advantage, will stand for $1,500.

Lone Star Special won the Incredible Ease Stakes and Pair of Deuces Stakes at Louisiana Downs. He retired with $105,320 in earnings. To date, Lone Star Special's best runner is Chickasaw Bayou, out of Water Walker (by Belong to Me), who placed in the Louisiana Stallion Stakes.
