First Seven-Figure Mares Sold at F-T

Inglorious, winning the Queens Plate, is a seven figure sale at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

After starting slowly, the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale took off after about two hours, with two mares bringing in excess of seven figures in quick succession.

Inglorious, a Canadian champion and millionaire consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Sales, was purchased by Kia-Ora Stud Australia for $1,350,000. The half sister to multiple graded-stakes winner Dixie Strike was sold as a broodmare prospect.

Bred in Canada by Arosa Farms, the daughter of Hennessy was champion 3-year-old filly in Canada after winning the prestigious Queen's Plate Stakes and Canadian Oaks.

Her Smile, a 5-year-old daughter of Include   in foal to Ghostzapper  , was purchased by SF Bloodstock for $1,075,000 as the first seven-figure offering at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale Nov. 4.

Consigned by Frank Stronach's Adena Springs, Her Smile is a grade I winner who earned $464,314. She was purchased by Adena Springs for $1 million from the Denali Stud consignment to the 2011 Fasig-Tipton November sale.
