Winds Force Woodbine to Cancel Sunday Card

The $150,000 Autumn Stakes (Can-II) rescheduled for Nov. 15 and will not be redrawn.

High winds with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour in the Toronto area forced Woodbine to cancel its live Thoroughbred racing card following the first race Nov. 10.

The feature event on the Sunday program, the $150,000 Autumn Stakes (Can-II), was rescheduled for Nov. 15. It will not be redrawn, Woodbine senior communications manager John Siscos said. A 10-horse field is entered for the 1 1/16-mile Polytrack event.

Live racing is to resume Nov. 13. The nine-race card has a first post time of 6:45 p.m. EST.
