Stay Thirsty Sires First Foal

Born Jan. 8 at Creekview Farm, the colt is out of the Giant's Causeway mare Opulence.

Dual grade I winner Stay Thirsty  sired his first reported foal, a colt born Jan. 8 at Coolmore's Creekview Farm near Paris, Ky. The colt is out of the Giant's Causeway  mare Opulence.

"Also a first foal for the mare, he's all quality, has good size and strength, and is very correct," said Ashford Stud manager Dermot Ryan in a release. "He's from one of the best families in the stud book. It's the best possible start for Stay Thirsty."

Owned by Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith and produced by the great racemare Rags To Riches, Opulence is likely to be bred back to Stay Thirsty.
