First Foal by Star Guitar for Brittlyn Stable

Filly out of unraced mare Luna Bean was born Jan. 13 at Clear Creek Stud.

All-time leading Louisiana-bred Star Guitar  has sired his first foal, a filly that was born Jan. 13 at Clear Creek Stud in Folsom, La.

Bred by the Brittlyn Stable of Maurice and Evelyn Benoit, who owned and bred Star Guitar, the chestnut filly is out of the unraced Malibu Moon  dam Luna Bean, a full sister to Princess Rooney Handicap (gr. I) winner Malibu Mint.

Star Guitar, who was bred to 61 mares in his first year at stud, won 22 stakes races in his career from 30 starts. He was named Louisiana-bred Horse of the Year four times and champion Louisiana-bred division leader five times. Star Guitar is by Quiet American out of the Malagra dam Minit Towinit.

Brittlyn Stable is offering a bonus of $50,000 to anyone who breeds a U.S. grade I winner by Star Guitar, $25,000 for a U.S. grade II winner, $15,000 for a U.S. grade III winner, and $10,000 if the foal wins the Louisiana Champions Day Classic, a race that Star Guitar won three times.

Star Guitar is set to stand his second season at Clear Creek Stud for a fee of $3,500 live foal.
