The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association is holding its annual Stallion Season Auction on www.starquine.com. The auction began Jan. 29 and runs through Feb. 3 at 3 p.m.
Seasons offered in the auction include stallions from Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and New York.
All registered Indiana-bred progeny of a donated stallion season that was sold through the auction are eligible to compete in the colt/gelding or the filly divisions for 3-year-olds, provided the foals are nominated and the nomination payments are kept up to date. Both races will be held in the fall Thoroughbred meet of the eligible foal's 3-year-old year at a distance of one mile. The field for each race will be determined by the top 10 nominees by lifetime earnings. Purses will be paid through 10th place.
Nominations are limited to members in good standing with ITOBA.
