Stallion Season Auction at Lane's End Farm

Farm accepting sealed bids for seasons to each stallion during open house Feb. 8-10.

Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Ky., will be hosting an open house for breeders and a stallion season silent auction to coincide with the Fasig-Tipton February sale. The open house at the farm's stallion barn will be Feb. 8-10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

As part of the open house, breeders can submit a sealed bid for a season to each of the farm's stallions by completing a form with a stallion's name, bid amount, and contact information. The Lane's End stallion season team will follow up with bidders to inform them of the result.

At least one season will be offered in the farm's successful stallions Candy Ride , The Factor , Curlin , Smart Strike, Mineshaft , Union Rags , and Lemon Drop Kid , as well as to young stallions Quality Road , Discreetly Mine, Twirling Candy , and Morning Line .

Bidding begins Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. and ends Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. For a complete list of rules and conditions please visit

"This is a great opportunity for breeders," said Lane's End's Bill Farish, "For breeders wanting to breed to our stallions, including those with closed books, this is their chance to secure a season that may not be available, or potentially at a discounted price. It should be exciting."
