Bullet Train Sires First Foal

The filly is out of the winning Green Desert mare Viscountess.

Group III winner Bullet Train was represented by his first foal when a filly out of the winning Green Desert mare Viscountess was born Feb. 8.

Described as "strong and correct" in a release, the filly was bred by Steven Sullivan.

Bullet Train, an English-bred son of Sadler's WellsKind, by Danehill, is a three-quarter brother to European champion Frankel. During his race career, the 7-year-old stallion was an early favorite for the Epsom Derby (Eng-I) after winning the 2010 Totesport.com Derby Trial (Eng-III) for owner/breeder Juddmonte Farm.

Bullet Train was bred to more than 200 mares between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres last year. He stands at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington, for $7,500 stands and nurses.
