166 Cataloged for Tattersalls Craven Sale

A number of United States-based sires are represented by offspring in the catalog for next month's Tattersalls Craven breeze-up sale.
 
There are 166 juveniles cataloged for the sale, set for April 15-17. The horses will breeze at Newmarket's Rowley Mile Racecourse on April 15, and the two-day sale is scheduled to begin following Newmarket's Craven meeting on April 16-17.
 
U.S. sires represented are Bernstein, Elusive Quality  , Exchange Rate  , First Defence  , Giant's Causeway  , Hard Spun  , Indian Charlie, Kitten's Joy  , Medaglia d'Oro  , More Than Ready  , Smart Strike, Speightstown  , Street Sense  , and War Front  
 
Thirteen of last year's top 15 active British and Irish sires also are represented in the catalog: Acclamation, Danehill Dancer, Dark Angel, Dutch Art, Exceed And Excel, Galileo, Invincible Spirit, New Approach, Oasis Dream, Pivotal, Samardal, and Teofilo
Last year's leading European first-crop-sire Mastercrastman also has several from his second crop cataloged.
 
"The key element of the Craven breeze-up is quality at all levels of the market," Tattersalls chairman Edmund Mahony said.
