Lasseur Becomes Co-Owner of Keane Stud

He has served as a longtime farm manager of the New York facility.

Veterinarian Winslow B. Stevens of Keane Stud Operations near Amenia, N.Y., has announced that Philippe Lasseur, long-time farm manager, has become a co-owner and full partner in their Thoroughbred breeding business.

Lasseur started as farm manager at Keane Stud in 1987 and is one of the longest-tenured managers in New York. Lasseur and Stevens began working together as manager and veterinarian in 1989, and in 2007 the two took on respective roles of general manager and owner of Keane.

"Philippe has always been the driving force behind Keane Stud, and assuming an ownership role is just another step in his career in the Thoroughbred industry," said Stevens in a release.
