Grade I Winner Egg Drop Bred to Tapit

The grade I winner is scheduled to sold at auction this November.

Grade I winner Egg Drop, whose retirement was announced April 8, has been bred to Tapit , the current leading North American sire by earnings, for 2015.

Bred in Florida by Centaur Farms and raced by Little Red Feather Racing Club, Egg Drop will be offered for sale this November.

"Egg Drop has brought so much joy and excitement to our racing partnership," said Little Feather managing partner Billy Koch of the daughter of Alphabet Soup--Rehocracy, by Adhocracy. "She deserves the very best and that was a big part of our decision to breed her to Tapit. He's the most dominant sire in the world right now with a Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) favorite (Untapable) and several entries in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I). So it will be fun to see what happens. If everything goes according to plan, we will offer her for sale at public auction this November."

Tapit stands at Gainesway near Lexington, for a fee of $150,000.
