Bluegrass Equine Digest recently was honored during The Thoroughbred Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America's annual awards ceremony in April.
Bluegrass Equine Digest, a monthly e-newsletter that covers the latest news and research from the University of Kentucky Ag Equine Program, was awarded third in the "online tactics" category.
Bluegrass Equine Digest provides up-to-date information on equine research from the agriculture program and advice for all disciplines and breeds of horses. It is offered free of charge through a sponsorship from Zoetis and is produced through a partnership between the University of Kentucky Ag Equine Program and The Horse: Your Guide To Equine Health Care.
The May issue will mark the 60th issue of the newsletter, which is compiled by Alexandra Beckstett, managing editor of the The Horse, and Brian Turner, an artist for The Horse and The Blood-Horse in Lexington.
The Thoroughbred Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America began an annual awards program in 2002 to recognize exceptional work from its Central Kentucky members in various categories such as media relations, newsletters, magazines, annual reports, brochures, websites, social media, and more.
