Field of 13 for Atto Mile

A field of 13 will go postward in the $1 million (Canadian funds) Atto Mile (gr. IT) Sunday at Woodbine. Favoritism may fall to Del Mar Show, who won the Bernard Baruch Handicap (gr. IIT) at Saratoga in his last start.

Del Mar Show, by Theatrical, won the New Hampshire Sweepstakes Handicap (gr. IIIT) prior to the Baruch, and finished second to fellow Atto Mile competitor Strut the Stage in the Dixie Stakes (gr. IIT) preceeding that effort.

Del Mar Show races for the Allen Paulson trust and is trained by Bill Mott. Jerry Bailey will ride form the 11 post.

Another who could prove tough is Noverre, who has been knocking heads with the heavy hitters in Europe. He ran third in the Juddmonte International (Eng-I) in his last start. Owned by Godolphin and trained by Saaed bin Suroor, he will be ridden by Frankie Dettori.
