Einstein Moving to Adena Springs Canada

Son of Spend a Buck transfers to Ontario for 2015 breeding season.

Adena Springs announced July 31 that five-time grade I winner Einstein will stand the 2015 breeding season at Frank Stronach's Adena Springs Canada near Aurora, Ontario.

Einstein (Spend a BuckGay Charm, by Ghadeer) stood his first four seasons at Adena Springs Kentucky for a fee of $7,500. His 2015 fee will be announced at a later date.

A graded stakes winner over dirt, turf, and synthetic tracks, Einstein's first crop of 3-year-olds already includes stakes horses on dirt and synthetics, and winners on all three surfaces.

"Einstein is an ideal fit for Ontario," said Stronach in a release. "He was a very versatile runner, and it makes perfect sense to stand him in Canada to take advantage of one of the premier synthetic racing programs in North America. We will continue our support of Einstein, and we already have several Ontario-bred foals by him to race here. His progeny should excel in Ontario's rich racing program."

According to the release, 12-year-old Einstein will join the Ontario sires program. Offering more than $2 million in stakes purses and $4.5 million in restricted overnight racing, the program was enhanced in 2014 with the addition of a 40% purse bonus to registered Ontario-sired horses competing in unrestricted races at all levels of the Woodbine overnight card. Breeders of registered Ontario-breds are also now eligible for the Premier Breeders Awards program worth $5 million annually.
