BC's Fravel Doused in Ice Bucket Challenge

Breeders' Cup, Keeneland team Aug. 18 to raise money for charity.

Breeders' Cup Ltd. and Keeneland Association joined forces Aug. 18 for the "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" to raise money to fight ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or more widely called "Lou Gehrig's Disease".
Breeders' Cup president Craig Fravel challenged this year's Breeders' Cup host, Santa Anita Park, and industry publications, The Blood-Horse, Thoroughbred Daily News, and Daily Racing Form to do the same. Keeneland, which will host of the 2015 Breeders' Cup World Championships, and Breeders' Cup made a $1,000 contribution to the ALS Association. 
According to the ALS website, as of Aug. 19 more than $22.9 million in donations have been received by the association since July 29 through the Ice Bucket Challenge.
